Job Description

We are looking for an experienced MIG/MAG Welder for shipyard work in the Netherlands. You will work on steel components used in ship construction, including hulls, decks, and other ship structures.

The role combines welding with preparation and fitting work. You will work from shipbuilding drawings, position steel components correctly, and carry out MIG/MAG welding with a focus on accurate and consistent results.

What you will do

  • Perform MIG/MAG welding on ship hulls, decks, and steel structures.
  • Prepare and fit steel components before welding.
  • Read and interpret shipbuilding and technical drawings.
  • Position and align components according to the required specifications.
  • Carry out welding work accurately and consistently.
  • Check completed work and report any issues affecting quality.
  • Keep the work area organised and follow shipyard safety procedures.
  • Work as part of an experienced shipyard team.

What you need

  • Previous welding experience in a shipyard environment.
  • Experience with MIG/MAG welding.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Communicative English.
  • EU passport or valid work permit for the Netherlands.
