CNC Machine Setter

Job Description

A CNC Machine Setter prepares CNC milling and turning machines for production, making sure each job starts correctly before operators or automated cycles take over.

Tasks include selecting and fitting tooling and fixtures according to the job specification, loading and verifying CNC programs, setting work and tool offsets, and running and checking first-off parts against technical drawings before releasing a job to full production. You troubleshoot setup issues, adjust programs where needed, and support operators with technical questions during the run.

This role suits an experienced machinist with strong technical knowledge of CNC setups, tooling, and materials, and the confidence to make independent decisions under production pressure. Familiarity with multiple control systems is an advantage.
