Job Description

A TIG Welder produces high-precision welds using the TIG (GTAW) process, typically on stainless steel, aluminium, or thin-gauge materials where weld quality and appearance are critical.

You prepare joints and surfaces before welding, select the correct filler material, shielding gas, and settings for each job, and weld to exact specifications from technical drawings, often in all positions and on complex geometries. Finished welds are inspected for consistency, penetration, and appearance, and any defects are corrected before parts move to the next stage of production.

This role demands a steady hand and strong attention to detail. A recognised TIG welding certificate and proven experience on stainless steel or aluminium are typically required, and pressure vessel or pipe welding qualifications are a strong advantage for specialised projects.
